GLOBAL SCHOLARS
Year 23-24 - Nature and Our Cities
Our Projects
Here we show you our projects, done in every unit.

Project 1. Introduction to Global Scholars

This has been our first project, called 'Meet the Global Scholars'. It's a video where we introduce our town and our school. It has been a challenge to organize ourselves, but also a good experience. We hope you enjoy it!
Project 2. Nature in Our Lives

The second project was the creation of a 'Community Nature Guide'. This time it was made in groups of four people, students looked for information about green spaces in our area and they created a digital guide about that green space. These guides were posted in the eClassroom and shared with students from around the world. Also, they have been able to read about green spaces from people of other countries, which has been very interesting. CLICK on the image to read the guides.
Project 3. Building sustainable cities
The project in unit 3 has been the design of 'A Green Space for our City'. We decided to improve the school yard, as it is very big, but there are areas that could be greener and more sustainable. In groups, we created with Minecraft or Tinkercad some green spaces and then we shared our creations with our Global peers in the eClassroom. We received nice comments from them! We share here the pictures of some of the designs, that we explained in class to our classmates with great detail, especially focusing on the sustainability of our projects.

Project 4. Our Natural World
In unit 4 students have created 'A Biodiversity Issues Infographic' in small groups. They wrote a survey with biodiversity issues in our community and with possible solutions for them and they sent the survey to different people. Then, they analyzed the results of the survey, creating graphs and observing the answers given. They have been able to be aware of the common biodiversity problems that our society has and they have shared their infographics with their international peers. On the image you can find a link to the different presentations.

Project 5. Community Action Goal
In the final unit students are required to take part in an action that benefits their community. Here we got in touch with some local entities and we were able to do two different social actions: 'Social gardens' and 'Projecte Reboll'. Have a look at the website we created for the project!
